He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Thomas and Irene Cain Burns; and his sisters, Juanita Burns Cheatham and Marjorie Burns McNatt. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Sandkuhl; his children, Ben Burns (Jeffie), Andrew Burns (Amy), Chris Burns and Katie Garrett (Eric); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Jennifer, Jackie, Tyler, Rachel, Carter, Brandi, Christopher, Mark, Michael and Logan; his great grandchildren, Stormi, Avari, Preslei, Molli, Nathan, Benjamin, John Wesley, Gehrig, Alexi, Riley Jo, William and Henry; and his great great grandchild Cove. He is also survived by many cousins and nephews.
