He was predeceased by: his parents, Constancio Bernal and Apolonia Bazaldua-Bernal; and his son Alfredo Bernal. He is survived by: his wife Francisca Bernal (Mexico); his children, Jessy Coronado (Teodoro Coronado), Ana Olvera (John Olvera), Yolanda Bernal (Ron Salas) and Jose Bernal II (Crystal Cruz); his siblings, Remigo Bernal, Maria Pedroza, Eva Juarez and Ana Alejandro; and his grandchildren, Christina Cook, Cynthia Lyons, Francine Coronado, Briana Olvera, Brittany Olvera, Jacob Rivera, Joaquin Rivera and Constancio Jose Bernal.
