He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Nelson Campbell and Ruby Bell Williamson; his wives, Frances Wyatt, Doris Engholm and Mary Calhoun; his stepson Stephen Campbell (Gooch); and his siblings, Aaron Campbell, Nelson Campbell, Larry Neagle and Marcia Martin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Betsy Fanning and Lesia McGee; and his sisters, Nancy Sherrard and Christine "Chris" Mitchell (Ray "Mitch"). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations to be made to Grace Temple Baptist Church.
