She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. James Lafayette Glenn and Freda Marie Glenn (Helmer); her husband William H. Melton, Sr.; her brothers, James Lee Glenn (Imogene) and Dr. Thomas Lane Glenn; her daughter Rebecca Melton; and her son-in-law James R. Melton.
She is survived by: her children, William H. Melton, Jr. (Angela) and Melanie A. Melton; her sister-in-law Hope Ramsey; her grandchildren, Sarah Melton, Hannah Melton, Jessica Melton-Robinson (Andrew Robinson, Sr.), Kelly Melton (Chris Gassaway) and Nathan Melton; and her great grandchildren, Tabitha, Dewayne, Andrew and Georgia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the OakCrest Funeral Home (4520 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park (7405 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (602 White Hills Dr, Rockwall, TX 75087).
