He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert William Knapp and Ruth Sanborn Knapp; and his brother Richard Minshall Knapp. He is survived by: his wife Janice Guthrie Knapp; his children, Mark William Knapp (Heather Touchton Knapp), Maribeth Knapp Brown (Aaron Brown), Kelly Carter Branch and Stephen Guthrie Branch; and his grandchildren, Savannah Madison Branch, Stephen Jackson Branch, Patricia Evelyn Brown, Katie Allison Brown, Anna Beth Brown and Rowan Gale Knapp. He is also survived by his family, friends.
