He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilia Sanchez Mendoza and Martin Gonzalez Guerrero; his grandson Josue Martin Gonzalez, Jr.; and his sisters, Francisca and Ana Gonzalez.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Salazar Robledo; his children, Magaly Emely Gonzalez (Miguel Araujo) and Josue Martin Gonzalez (Catherine Gonzalez); his godson Fernando Salazar Toriz; his grandchildren, La'Ryssa, Lily'Anna and Santana Gonzalez; and his siblings, Paula (Luis Aguilar) and Mayte Medina (Juan Torres). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the OakCrest Funeral Home (4520 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (612 N 3rd St, Waco, TX 76701). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetery (2124 S 5th St, Waco, TX 76706).
