It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Joseph Austin of Waco, Texas, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Charles Austin (Joyce) and Wanda Long Davis (Winnie); and his sisters, Sandy Standridge and Cherie Haas. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Austin; his daughters, Pamela Kerr (John), Monica Doelling (Drew), Jamie Pickrell (Kris) and Jodi Newton (Heath); his sister Carolyn Fox; his grandchildren, Mathew, John Michael, Joslyn, Evan, Caleb, Abby, Jace and Coleson; and his great grandchildren, Bella, Rinne and Jack Jack.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home (6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Robert's name to Covenant House Covenant House (https://www.covenanthouse.org) to help youths find a warm place to sleep and get away from the harshness of the world and to give them a little hope in darker times.
