It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosaura Chavez (Waco, Texas), born in Satin, Texas, who passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cruzita Vasquez and Florencio Guerra; her husband Alejo "Alex" Chavez; and her sons, Joe Chavez and Roy Chavez.
She is survived by: her siblings, Pauline Quinonez, Alice Mansolo, Della Stinson, Simon Guerra, Felix Guerra, Rosendo Guerra, Clem Guerra, Frank Guerra and Nicholas Guerra; her grandchildren, Ruben Castillo and Teresa Resendez; her great great grandchild Liliana Gonzalez; her children, Maria Galvan (Pete), Eloy Chavez (Rachelle), Lawrence Chavez, Robert Chavez, Pauline Rodriguez (Marshall) and Gloria Leos; her granddaughter Amanda Avila (Lorenzo); her sisters, Tammy Richardson and Olivia Rivera; her pet Toby; her sons-in-law, Pete Galvan II, Marshall Rodriguez and C. L. Leos; and her grandsons, Pete Galvan III, Jacob Alex Rodriguez, Jonathan Loy Chavez, Jonathan David Chavez and Chris Shelson. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
