He was predeceased by: his father Erwin Paul "Trey" Erp III; and his grandfather David R. McCracken. He is survived by: his mother Dora Maureen; his siblings, Kylie Erp, Braden Erp, Anya Huffman, Merry Erp-Cromeans and Lily Erp-Cromeans; his stepfather Peter Sears; and his grandparents, Mary S. McCracken, Tamara Mitchell and Paul Erp. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Columbus Ave. Baptist Church (1300 Columbus Ave, Waco, TX 76701).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Trace's memory to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, two organizations to which Trace regularly donated himself.
