He is survived by: his sons, Robert Gayden and Marcus Gayden of Waco, Texas; his wife Paula Smith; and his siblings, Bruce Allen (Linda), Diane Gray (John) of Pine Bluff, Moses James (Dawn) of Dallas, Linda Perkins of Watertown, Larry James (Jeannette) and Ronald James. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
