He was predeceased by: his parents, I. L. and Grace Capers; his brother Edwin; his wife Betty Jo Capers; his aunt Ester; and his uncle Milton Darwood.
He is survived by: his children, Bill (Jennifer) of Wortham, Texas and Jannetta Francone (Joe) of Georgetown, Texas.; his grandchildren, Manton Capers (Katie McNutt) of The Colony, Texas, Logan Capers (Darci Fulcher) of Grapevine, Texas, Nick Clark (Amanda Hogan) of Shirley, Kristen Francone (Nick Franzone) of Richardson, Texas and Lauren Francone (Elijah Quebrada) of Maspeth; and his brothers, Charles (Beverly) of Massachusetts, Stanley (Sue) of Fort Worth, Texas and Roy (Marilyn) of Richardson.
