He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Fredrick Bechtel Sr. and Leota Bernice Hand Bechtel; and his sister Carolyn Bechtel Stark of Fresno, California.. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Tommy Salome Jr.; his wife Ann Katherine Salome (Waco); his son William Joseph Bechtel Jr. (Kirsten Dannielle English); his brother Carl F. Bechtel Jr. (Freeda) of Richardson, TX; his sister-in-law Martha Salome of Crawford, TX; and his nephews, Bud Salome, Bobby Salome, Greg Salome, Leonard Elliott, Daryl LeBoeuf, Dennis LeBoeuf Honorary Pallbearers, Marvin Fedro, Melvin Lipsitz, Lowell Elliott, Donald Keltner, Chris Sellers and Rock McNair.
