He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Martin and Pawnee Wansley Martin; his grandparents, Pete, Maggie Martin (Troup), Shellie and Billie Wansley (Waco); his aunt Kitty; and his uncle A. C. "Buddy" Hawthorne (Waco).
He is survived by: his wife Toni; his children, William Jeffery Martin (Lisa Kettler Martin) and Callie Jean Martin; his grandsons, Rex William Martin and Grant Walter Martin; his sisters, Beth Garrett and Carroll Martin (Clyde Bennett); his nieces and nephews, Richard Powers (Elaine Turner), Christopher Bennett (Sara-Jane Shepperd), Angela Tomecek and Brooke Bennett Galindo (Charles Lea Galindo, Jr.); Toni Martin and Melissa Such. He is also survived by five great-nieces, two great-nephews.
He was a member of the Bear Foundation, Baseball Heart of the Order Club, and Lady Bears Tip-Off Club.
