She was predeceased by: her parents, Von Jay Marr and Pearl Scott Marr; her husband George Allen Ahlschwede; her son Allen Jay Ahlschwede; and her brother David Marr.

She is survived by: her children, Scott Ahlschwede (Patricia) of Saratoga Springs, NY and Anne Barnes (Nelson) of San Antonio, TX; her daughter-in-law Tonya Ahlschwede; and her grandchildren, Jay Ahlschwede, Sophie Ahlschwede of Mason, TX, Elena Ahlschwede and Axel Ahlschwede of Saratoga Springs, NY..
