Though Leon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Leon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Huey Bayless and Thurley Bayless; and his siblings-in-law, Billy Nelson and Stella Bayless. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Jerry" Bayless; his siblings, Shirley Nelson of Lumberton, Texas and Doyle Bayless of Knoxville, Tennessee.; and his children, Mike Bayless (Connie) of Boerne, Texas, LeAn Heckathorn (Jody) of Beaumont, Texas, Sabrina Ross (Cody) of Fannett, Texas, Barbara Sims of Montgomery, Texas, Sherry Blackwell of Warren, Texas and Kathy Parker of Warren, Texas. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
