It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert G. King of Waskom, Texas, who passed away on May 22, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Robert leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Othal Burden and Marvice King (Carr); his siblings, Charlie Sims and Othalene Melton; and his grandson Coletyn King.
He is survived by: his daughter Wendy Whatley (Lee) of Troup; and his grandson Robert Todd King (Janice) of Waskom, Texas. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous other loving family members and friends.
