It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Joseph Smith in Waxahachie, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Sybil Smith; his parents, Mildred Campbell Smith and Bonner Leroy Smith; and his stepfather Car Dui Bobby Polk. He is survived by: his children, Tyra Smith, Tamara Smith, Amber Smith, Michael Joseph Smith II and Vincent Smith; and his siblings, Evelyn Mangram, Teresa Myrick and Anthony Smith. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; along with extended family, friends.
