Charles Edward Surface Obituary

Charles Edward Surface, 71, a resident of Webster, TX passed away on December 13, 2020. Charles was born August 24, 1949 in Dallas, TX. He attended Baybrook Baptist Church in Friendswood and was a retired postmaster and army veteran of the Vietnam War. Charles was a compassionate and noble man who valiantly served his country and looked out for the needs of others above his own. It was this spirit that earned him a bronze medal in the war. Charles married his loving wife, Marcia, on July 14, 1972. They raised their two children Chris & Michelle and had 5 amazing grandkids that they have loved watching grow. Charles was an involved and loving grandfather who attended every concert, game, and event. Charles loved cooking, spending time with his family, traveling, and painting. He loved making others laugh with a gleam in his eye and his mischievous grin.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, George & Elizabeth Surface, brother, Ronald Surface, and son, Randy Surface.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Surface, brother, Greg Surface, son, Chris Surface and wife Lindsay Surface; daughter, Michelle Pfister and husband Deke Pfister; and grandchildren, Noah Surface, Kate Surface, Kara Surface, Dylan Pfister, and Izzy Pfister.
