She was predeceased by: her parents, Efthimios Rigas and Vasiliki Rigas (Holeva); and her husband Elias Mourtakos. She is survived by: her son Demetrios (Sylvia Mourtakos); her grandsons, Elias and Mario; her siblings, Helen Tsekouras, Foto Rahanoitis and John Rigas (Aleka); and her siblings' children, Effie Rahaniotis, Sophia Tsekouras, Maria Riga and George Rahaniotis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crowder Funeral Home (111 W. Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX 77598). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Saint John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church (202 N Walnut, Webster, TX 77598).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Evangelia Mourtakos to the Saint John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund.
