He is survived by: his wife Shelia Howell Smith; his son Phillip Joshua Smith; his grandsons, Connor Drew Smith and Aiden Brooks Smith; his sisters, Donna Reese McBee (Joe Lee McBee Sr) and Linda McConnell (late Larry McConnell); and his sister-in-law Rayona Scruggs Gernentz (Rusty Gernentz). He is also survived by Many close friends, church family members, and co-workers.
