He was predeceased by : his parents, Ilse Steur Waldheim and Ernst Waldheim; his former life partner Irma Waldheim; his daughters, Julie Waldheim Hampton and Susan Waldheim; and his brother Manfred "Manny" Waldheim.

He is survived by : his sister Susan (Julie); his nephews, Alan and Mark; his wife Barbara Waldheim of Galveston; his sons, Alan Waldheim of Friendswood and Mark Waldheim (Diane) of Sugarland; his grandson Steve Hampton of Clear Lake; his stepchildren, Allison Little (Pat) of Galveston and David Eby Jr. of Galveston; his sister-in-law Joan Waldhiem of Colorado; and his grandchildren, David Waldheim, Michael Waldheim, Jordin Waldheim, Samantha Waldheim, Kelly Waldheim, Brooke Hampton, Jason Hampton, Kevin Dean, Kourtney Michelle, Erin Eby Mayeaux and Lauren Eby.
