He was predeceased by : his parents, William Walters and Rachel Walters; his wife Joann; and his sisters, Marguerite Newsom and Dorothy Hosmer.

He is survived by : his sons, Larry and David; his daughter-in-law Terry; and his grandchildren, Kirt Walters, Jill Beck and Jason Walters. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
