He was predeceased by: his wife Laverne; and his parents, John W. McClanahan and Freeda Keidel McClanahan. He is survived by: his sons, Mark McClanahan (Nancy) and James McClanahan (Alena); his grandchildren, John Mark McClanahan, Kelly McClanahan, Mollie McClanahan, Caleb McClanahan, Hayden McClanahan (Tori), Ryan McClanahan and Kaylee Martin (Jeff); his great grandchild Rowan; and his sister Betty Herzberg (Alan).
