With sadness, we share the passing of Vera Mae (Shumbera) Hilscher (Weimar, Texas). Vera, born on September 16, 1937, passed away on September 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolf Shumbera and Ludmilla Shumbera (Krejci); her brothers, Adolph Joe Shumbera (Rosie), Emil George Shumbera (Evelyn) and Charlie Shumbera (Norma Lee); and her sisters-in-law, Ovella Stuchly (Ervin) and Helen Smolik (Gene).
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce Marie Hilscher of Alleyton, Sandra Jean Hilscher of Alleyton and Carol Lynn Hilscher of Weimar; and her granddaughters, LeAnn Frnka of Columbus and DeAnna Reaume of Sheridan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (410 N Center St, Weimar, TX 78962). A rosary will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (410 N Center St, Weimar, TX 78962).
