He was predeceased by: his parents, W. E. "Jack" Colson and Viola B. Moody Colson; and his daughter Marita Burton. He is survived by: his son Billy Colson (Janice) of Childress; his brothers, Ronnie Colson (Inois) of Murfreesboro, TN and Darrell Colson (Rhonda) of Wellington; his grandsons, James Burton of Lubbock and Daniel Burton (Kathy) of Austin; his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Zana, Katlyn and Teandra; and his great great grandchild James.
The family suggests that memorials be made to any charity that deals with dementia.
