He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Barrera and Jose Barrera; his son Jose Barrera (Fausta); and his great grandchild Amberlee Barrera. He is survived by: his wife Elvira Yanez Barrera; his children, Ana Maria Montoya (Ricardo), David Barrera (Francis), Noe Barrera (Elsa), Enedelia and Alfredo Jr. (Sara); and his siblings, Isabelle Hernandez, David Barrera, Juanita Sarabia, Enrique Barrera and Luis Barrera. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
