He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Matus and Frances Zeptner (Sulak); his stepfather Louis Lynn Webb; and his brother William "Billy" John Webb. He is survived by: his children, Vanessa Mattox (Webb) of Kentucky, Amy Spalding (Webb), Andrew Derkowski of Kingwood, Daniel Webb Jr. (Cassi) of Roanoke and Devin Webb of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Michael Mattox, Zachary Mattox, Daniel Mattox, Lily Spalding and Emily Spalding; and his siblings, Sandy Webb (Matus) of Fort Worth, Debra "Deb" Garza (Daniel) of Lometa, Wesley Matus (Maggie) of San Antonio and Greg Matus of West. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
