She was predeceased by: her father Johnny F. Sr. Muehlstein; her husband Kern Michael Hughes Sr.; her brother Johnny Muehlstein Jr.; and her son-in-law Richard Dupont. She is survived by: her mother Ann Kolar Muehlstein; her children, Michael Hughes (Jenny), Margaret Dupont, Kevin Hughes (Tobi), Mark Hughes and Larry Hughes (Karmel); and her siblings, Larry Muehlstein and Mildred Powell.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM and on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (303 S Harrison St, West, TX 76691). A rosary was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (301 S Harrison St, West, TX 76691). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (303 S Harrison St, West, TX 76691).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association (PO Box 423, West, TX 76691).
