He was predeceased by: his parents, Vit Kucera and Cecilla Brenk Kucera; and his brother David Kucera. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Brod Shultz Kucera; his sons, Shane (Stephanie) and Keith (Brandi); his stepson Shane Shultz; his grandchildren, Tyler Kucera and Julianna Kucera; his sister-in-law Suzanne Kucera; and his nephews, David Jr. (Inez Kucera) and Jason Kucera.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wharton Funeral Home Chapel (515 E Boling Hwy, Wharton, TX 77488). A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2011 Briar Ln, Wharton, TX 77488). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (3511 E Alabama Rd, Wharton, TX 77488).
