We announce the death of Stephen Reed Moers of Wharton, Texas, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his father Edward August Moers (Stephen). He is survived by: his mother Johanna Yvonne Singleton East; his wife Lisa Moers of Wharton; his children, Elaine H. Moers of Wharton, Eric A. Moers (Shawnessee) of College Station and Edward Reed Moers of Wharton; his siblings, Cheryl LaVergne of Wharton, Julie Moers Steiner (Randall) of Wharton, Gregory Jay East (Ana) of Kingwood and Brian Michael East (Heather) of Beaumont; and his grandchildren, Addison and Charlotte Moers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the College Heights Baptist Church (1515 Briar Ln, Wharton, TX 77488). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
