He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry McCartney and Connie Vigus; and his grandparents, Frank, Jessie Mae Vigus and Lucy McCartney.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda McCartney of Whitney; his siblings, Jarrell McCartney, Jimmy McCartney and Terrie Knudsen (Martin); his stepmother Mary McCartney; his parents-in-law, Elsie and Lee Reddell; his sister-in-law Karen Hix (Jeff Matthews); and his siblings' children, Valerie Swanner, Keri Martin, Stephanie Sterling and Brazos Wortham. He is also survived by several great nieces, great nephews, one great great niece, many other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church (475 Wesley Chapel Rd, Waco, TX 76705). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paw's Place Rescue in Whitney, Gholson Volunteer Fire Department, or Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
