He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Alton Sosebee and Nino Jo Brown Sosebee; his former wife Ann Sosebee; his daughters, Karen Shelton and Susan Bivens; his grandson Jay Johnston Lankford Jr.; and his siblings, Lloyd, Melton, Ronnie, Pete, Jerry, Cletus, Danny "Boney", Carrol "Champ", Treva Cates and Gail Sosebee.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Sosebee of Wichita Falls; his daughters, Sherry Smith (Bruce) of Iowa Park and Charmion Allen (Bill) of Crowley; his siblings, Orville Sosebee, Melba Watson and Alta Choate; his grandchildren, B. J. Smith (Destiney), Holly Smith, Celestriale Johnson (Tommy), Moira Pilkington (David Dodge), Drew Allen, Jessicca Allen and Naomi Bivens (Nathan Fowler); his stepdaughter Pamela Mangum; and his sons-in-law, Michael Shelton and Weldon Bivens. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
