He was predeceased by : his mother Catalina Aranda. He is survived by : his father Martin Aranda; his wife Margarita Franco; his children, Yajaira German, Joel B. Aranda and Neftaly Aranda; his stepchildren, Jose DeVal, Yasmin DeVal, María DeVal and Jose Vela; and his siblings, Luis, Ricardo, Ernesto, Irma, Maltilde, Antonio, Bertha, Octavio, Adriana and Guadalupe. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren.
