She is survived by: her husband William Lee Ferguson; her children, Frank Ferguson (Mateldia) and Gloria Ferguson Baker (Vernon); her daughter-in-law Pat Ferguson; her siblings, Ona Pearson Heide and William Pearson (Mary); her grandchildren, Rhonda Ferguson Bayless, Karen Baker, Stacey Ferguson Rhodes (Dusty), Robert Allen Baker (Bridget), Crystal, Ferguson Mayes (Dennis), Andrew Ferguson and Brian William Ferguson; her great grandchildren, Tyler Lee Guillory (Rikette), Mallory Rhodes Canton (Cody), Justin Mayes, Quincy Baker, Presley Mayes and Walker Lee Ferguson; and her great great grandchildren, Dawson Lee Guillory, Sterling Guillory, Tessa Guillory and Caroline Lorraine Canton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, extended family members, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, Melba requested that donations be made in her memory to Benui Baptist Church, as she always believed in spreading God's word.
