With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Matus of Wills Point, Texas, who passed away on February 25, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Makovy and Lillian Makovy; her husband Marvin; her siblings, Jerome, Vincent, Harry Joe and Mary Ann; and her brother-in-law Walter Matus.
She is survived by: her children, Richard, Nancy (Brian Thompson), Mike (Carrie) and Greg (Jude); her grandchildren, Nicole, Kelsey (Latham Akins) and Penelope; and her great grandchildren, Bryer and Grady.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church at 885 First Monday Lane, Canton, Texas 75103.
