He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecil L Harmon and Wanna V. Akens; his wife Gloria Jean Harmon; his sons, Douglas Harmon and Gregory Harmon; and his siblings, C. W. Harmon, Lawrence R. Harmon, Ollie Mae Odum, Thelma Jean and Wanda Harmon.

He is survived by : his son Jimmy Harmon (Jennifer Brewington); his grandchildren, Lacey Harmon (Jeff Johnson) and Ethan Harmon; and his great grandchildren, Haley Cohee, Isabella Grace and Avah Johnson.
