It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Connie Sue Wegert of Windcrest, Texas, born in Hopper, Arkansas, who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Sidney J. Wegert; her parents, Gillford Coffman and Dalure Coffman; and her siblings, Occo Coffman Merritt, Paul Coffman and Dewey Coffman.
She is survived by: her sister Portia Coffman Short of Russellville, AR; her sisters-in-law, Nina Coffman of Hopper, AR and Patricia Coffman of Norman, OK; her sons, Sidney J. Wegert II (Marilyn) of San Antonio and Preston H. Wegert (Nancy) of La Vernia, TX; her grandchildren, Sidney J. Wegert III (Taylor) of Cibolo, TX, Donna A. Wegert of Los Angeles, CA and Aric Sidney Wegert of La Vernia; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Lynne Wegert, Harley Belle Wegert, Sidney J. Wegert IV and Waylon Beau Wegert. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
