She was predeceased by: her parents, Rube Whitley and Lizzie Whitley; her husband Dick Bishop; her brothers, Junior Whitley and Terry Whitley; and her son-in-law Robert Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Lanham Bishop (Barbie), Lesli Sheppard (Maxey), Lisa Johnson, Ricky, Paige, Matt, Heather, Todd and Rachael; and her sister Lois Bredemeyer. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker for several years before becoming the Activities Director at the nursing facility for over 30 years, only retiring during the COVID pandemic.
