It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Manuela Barquera of Winters, Texas, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilio Torres and Guadalupe Torres; and her siblings, Odilia Escamia and Emilio Torres Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Francis Farias of Arlington, Texas and Barquera of Winters, Texas; her siblings, Jacinto Torres of Winters, Texas and Jacinta (David Maldonado) of Dickinson, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Mercedes, Alexis, Isaac, Elias, Kaleb and Marcus. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Winters Funeral Home (120 State St, Winters, TX 79567). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mount Carmel Catholic Church (119 W College St, Winters, TX 79567). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Lakeview Cemetery.
