He is survived by: his wife Lori Torbert; his children, Carly Custer (Matthew) of Woden, James Torbert (Claudia) of Houston, Joshua Torbert (Tiffany) of Etoile, Dylan Torbert (Karen) of Topeka and Gage Torbert (Liani) of Woden; his grandchildren, Brayden, Ryleigh, Symphany, Aubrey, Kodi, Raider, Maleigha, Makynzey, MaKennah, Jaxon, Asher, Avery, Aksel and Maylynn; and his siblings, Joyce Sudduth (Ben), Lucretia Nowman, Natasha Melton and Johnny Torbert. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (2116 South St, Nacogdoches, TX 75964). A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Attoyac Baptist Cemetery.
