He was predeceased by : his parents, Nonnie McWhirter and Wayne McWhirter; and his brother John Wayne. He is survived by : his daughters, Chelsea Doyen (Jerome) of Crowley and Heather Marshall (John) of Rockwall; and his grandchildren, Caden, Mason, Zoe and Remy.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Chapel (934 Co Rd 4818, Wolfe City, TX 75496). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at the Mount Carmel Cemetery (934 Co Rd 4818, Wolfe City, TX 75496).
