It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Kenneth Stringer of Woodville, Texas, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Stringer and Lorena Stringer of Hornbeck, LA; and his brother Tommy Stringer of Oaklyn, NJ.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Stringer of Woodville; his children, Keith Stringer (Sandra) of Sour Lake, TX and Kena Mahan (Michael) of Spurger, TX; his brother Patrick Stringer (Jamie) of Hornbeck, LA; his siblings-in-law, Lynnie Stringer Voza (Al) of Oaklyn, NJ, Linda Robison (Terry) of Anacoco, LA, Carliss "Snooks" Siebe of Newton, TX and Billie Herring (Melody) of Vidor, TX; his grandchildren, Tori Biddle, Kirsten Landry (Bert) of Kaylyn, Michala MacKenzie (Chance), James Kash Stringer and Katerine Belle "Katie" Mahan; his great grandchildren, Kase, Klaire Landry and Lynnox MacKenzie; and his extended family, Tammy Christopher (Stanley) and Lesa Lasneski (Dale). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dogwood Hills Baptist Church (823 US-190, Woodville, TX 75979). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Self Cemetery.
