She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Michalk and Theodore Michalk. She is survived by: her husband Alan Abel of Lorena; her children, Andrea (Jeff Thompson) of McGregor and Jon (Alicia Abel) of Richardson; her grandchildren, Greg, Jacob, Daniel, Mary Abel, Taylor (Thompson) and Connor Strange; her great grandchild Frankie Strange; her siblings, Nancy Michalk-Barth, Grace Perez, Judy (Barry Mascarenhas) and Paul Michalk; her sister-in-law Carol Emley; and her caregivers, Cheyenne, Elena, Melissa, Divine Homecare, Judy, Flor and Dr Chitra Hamilton.
