It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Eugene Hoppe of Woodway, Texas, who passed away on July 21, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hoppe and Anna Hoppe (Sandhoff); and his siblings, Ray Hoppe (Faye), Ima Bekkelund (Gordon), Edna Gauer (Ervin) and Anna Lou Blum (Erwin).
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Hoppe (Reich); his daughter Beverly Hoffmann of Crawford; his granddaughter Robbie Birch (Erich); his great grandchildren, Kai of College Station and Erich Birch of College Station; and his sister-in-law Nancy Hoppe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (140 Prairie Chapel Rd, Crawford, TX 76638). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Saint Paul Memorial Park (10186 Cedar Rock Pkwy, Crawford, TX 76638).
