He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurora Ramos Litchfield and Douglas Wayne Benedict Sr.; his brother Richard Benedict Sr.; his nephew Richard Benedict Jr.; and his brother-in-law Jeff Kay.
He is survived by: his daughter Candice Marie; his wife Nancy Benedict; his daughter Candice Insalaco (Todd Insalaco Sr.); his siblings, Harold MacKean (Dana MacKean), Christine Kay and Valerie Ford; his mother-in-law Toni Wenzel (Ed Wenzel); his sisters-in-law, Devin Benedict and Linda Nunn (Gerald Nunn); his nieces and nephews, Holly Morris, Jessica Kay, Valerie Benedict, Tiffany Benedict, Luke Benedict, James Kay, Beau Nunn, Christian Wenzel, Noah Wenzel and Connor Wenzel; and his grandchildren, Todd Insalaco, Jr., Natalie and Elizabeth Insalaco.
