He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Peeler Hitt and Eva Louise Hitt (Grider); and his daughter Amy Lou Hitt. He is survived by: his wife Lou Garner; and his daughters, Deborah Gallaher (Dwayne) of Hallettsville, Barbarah Friedel (Johnny) of Cuero and Terry Hitt of Arkansas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
