He was predeceased by: his parents, John Garner and Lucille Garner (Inge); and his stepdaughter Vicki Sanford. He is survived by: his wife Ladine Davis (Smejkal) of Yoakum; and his children, Emily Bowman, Debra Ware of Joplin, MO, Carl Garner of Cassville, MO, Stephen Garner of Neosho, MO. and Michael Taylor (Jo Anne) of Missouri City. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Austin Street Baptist Church.
