He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Evans and Maggie Mae Evans (Martin); his stepfather Allen Gordon; and his grandparents, Tom and Elizabeth Martin.
He is survived by: his son Brian Wayne Evans; his wife Delores Evans; his daughter Terri Bennetsen (Nick); his grandchildren, Keene Bennetsen (Brittany Baker) and Arielle Bennetsen (Caleb Cuellar); and his siblings, Judy Jernigan, Linda Boedeker and Joe Lee Evans.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Children Hospital, St. Jude's Children Hospital or Hospice of South Texas.
