He was predeceased by: his mother Olivia Monsivais. He is survived by: his children, Horacio Monsivais Jr., Luis Gerardo Monsivais (Esmeralda Rodriguez) and Dinorah Guadalupe Monsivais (Rigoberto Ramirez Jr.); his granddaughters, Madelyn LeeAnn Ramirez and Allison Nicole Ramirez; his close friend Elvira Treviño; his stepchildren, Diana Treviño and Jesus Mario Treviño; his brother Jose Humberto Diaz Monsivais; his sister-in-law Elvira Aguiñaga Moreno; and his cousin Genaro Bolivar Monsivais. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Rose Garden Funeral Home (2102 US-83, Zapata, TX 78076). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (1610 Hidalgo Blvd, Zapata, TX 78076).
