With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jaime A. Vela (Zapata, Texas), who passed away on February 8, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Emiliano Vela Jr. and Ela B. Vela; and his brother Horacio Ariel Vela. He is survived by : his wife Karoline Vela; his children, Jaime Vela Jr. (Adriana), Monica Rodriguez (Jesus Franco) and Araceli Chitwood; his granddaughter Helga Elise Vela; his daughter Sofia Ivana Vela; his great grandchild Diego Gael Vela; his siblings, Rosa Garcia (Cesar), Juan Manuel Vela (Ofelia), Jose Emilio Vela (Maria Elena), Ramiro Orlando (Blanca), Emiliano Vela (Nilda) and Sandra Cruz (David); and his sister-in-law Sonia T. Vela. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
